Frequently asked questions
Place the turntable on a flat, stable surface. Attach the counterweight to the tonearm and balance to zero, then set the tracking force as specified in your manual (typically 1.5–2.5g). Install the platter, attach the belt if applicable, and connect to your speakers. Full setup guides are available at recordplayerlab.com.
Press the BT button on your turntable to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. On your speaker or headphones, activate pairing mode. Select "Arkrocket" from your device's Bluetooth list. The LED indicator will stop flashing once connected.
It depends on your model. Turntables with built-in speakers (like the Huygens) can play directly. Models without built-in speakers require either an amplifier with a phono input, or an external phono preamp connected to any powered speakers or receiver.
Skipping is most often caused by: incorrect tracking force, a worn or dirty stylus, a warped record, or vibrations. Check your tracking force setting, clean the stylus with a soft brush, ensure the turntable is on a stable surface away from speakers, and try a different record to isolate the issue.
A ground hum is common when connecting to an external amplifier. Attach the grounding wire from the turntable to the GND terminal on your receiver. If your turntable doesn't have a grounding wire or the hum persists, contact us at support@hifunaudio.com.
For belt-drive models, check that the belt is correctly seated around the motor pulley and the underside of the platter. Belts can slip off during shipping. If the belt appears stretched or broken, contact us for a replacement.
